Why are we involved in Cameroon?

In the past this West-African country held the disreputable title of most corrupt country worldwide. For 27 years under the rigid regime of President Paul Biya, Cameroon finds itself in a sad state of political stagnation, as well as economic and social decline. A dismal lethargy lies over this originally wealthy and exceedingly fertile country. However, only a tiny nefarious upper class profits from these riches. The increasing poverty combined with the hopelessness of the well educated youth is an additional factor for the drive for migration of most of the young people. The historical conflict between the French speaking majority and the English speaking minority aggravates the situation. We hence consciously founded our school in the English speaking part of Cameroon.
