The school attendance per child and year costs

The salary of one teacher is CHF 2,700 per year.

Example:
Since the owner of the currently rented school building does not want to sell, we saw ourselves forced to build a new school building. Two new class rooms were already erected during the school year 2009/2010. Thanks to this two classes are already taught in this new school building. For the year 2010/2011 we are planning the construction of a further 3 school rooms.
A class room, sized 9 x 7 m2, brick construction with wooden roof, should comfortably accommodate one class.
The price of a school room built by local workmen costs CHF 12'000.-

Voluntary Service
We offer voluntary service opportunities to qualified people for the duration of at least six months. Accommodation near the school as well as a mentor can be arranged. However, no charges will be accepted by our organization. The time of your voluntary service as well as any other details will be discussed individually.
